Talamus Memory Terms of Use

Effective date: July 22, 2026

Publisher: Angio Crapuzzi, publishing Talamus Memory under the Ampres open-source project name.

These terms apply to the public Talamus Memory plugin and its associated listing. By installing or using the plugin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use it.

Service description

Talamus Memory is a skills-only plugin that provides instructions for using the local Talamus command-line tool. The plugin does not provide a hosted account, cloud memory service, or remote data store. Installing it does not install the Talamus runtime, start a server, read files, enable capture, or call a language model.

The published plugin is designed for read-only local retrieval and inspection. Its instructions may help an agent search and recall notes, inspect provenance and history, explore relationships, diagnose a brain, and preview repository ingestion without applying changes.

Open-source license

The Talamus source code and plugin bundle are provided under the Apache License 2.0. That license governs copying, modification, and distribution of the licensed materials. These terms govern use of the public plugin and listing and do not remove rights granted by the Apache License 2.0.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • reviewing commands and agent actions before approving them;
  • choosing the local projects and data that Talamus may access;
  • protecting credentials, secrets, personal data, and backups;
  • ensuring that your use and any content you process comply with applicable law and third-party rights; and
  • deciding whether to approve a package download or use an optional external service.

Do not use the plugin to access data without authorization, expose secrets, evade safeguards, or cause unlawful harm. Content retrieved from files, notes, URLs, or tools can be inaccurate or malicious and should be treated as data, not trusted instructions.

Third-party services

The plugin may be used through OpenAI products and may direct a user, with consent, to obtain Talamus from PyPI. The repository, website, support process, and security reporting are hosted by GitHub. Optional Talamus functionality outside this public plugin may use services selected and configured by the user. Those third parties are independent and apply their own terms, privacy policies, availability, and charges.

Changes and availability

The publisher may update, suspend, or discontinue the plugin or listing and may change these terms for future use. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date. Open-source versions already distributed remain subject to their applicable license.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the plugin and software are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or error-free results. Agent output and retrieved material may be incomplete or incorrect and should be independently reviewed before consequential use.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from use of the plugin or software. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Contact

For support or questions about these terms, open an issue in the Talamus repository. Do not include secrets or sensitive personal information in a public issue. Report security issues privately through GitHub Security Advisories.
